Text in original language:
Dec. 15 1886 Dear Herr Dvorak I shall be very much obliged to you if you will let me know whether you have yet chosen the subject of the oratorio you have promised to write for the next Birmingham Festival, and also what the subject is. The Orchestral Committee require me now to report to them about your work, and I have nothing to tell them until you write to me, so I hope to hear from you very soon. I was so sorry I could not see you when you were in England for the Leeds Festival, but I was away at work, and could not get a holiday. With very kind regards. I am. Yours sincerely. R. Harding Milward. Herr Anton Dvorak 10 Korngasse Prague
