Pan Antonin Dvorak
Dear Sir
On the 13th of July last we wrote to you at Prague but fear our letter must have been miscarried. We wrote them to enquire[!]1 from you any information you may be disposed to favour us with, in regard to the production of a new work by yourself at our Musical Festival in 1895. It would afford us great satisfaction in the event of your being able to comply with our desire, that we should be afforded the privilege of producing a work from your pen, as a first performance in this Country, as we should be gratified to hear from you at an early date, as to the possibilities of our wishes being fulfilled.
Believe us to be
Very faithfully yours
Walter Scott
