My dear Friend I am very glad you are able to accept the terms we proposed for your several new works - namely £ 650 for the new Requiem - £ 100 for the new symphony - and £ 50 for adding orchestral accompaniments to the ones we have already purchased. Will you kindly send us the vocal score of the Requiem at once so that we may proceed with the printing in order to get ready for the Birmingham Festival: we should of course be glad to have the full score also at the earliest possible moment. We shall also be glad to have the pianoforte arrangement of the symphony (solo + duet) as soon as possible. In scoring the smaller mass would it be possible for you to do it in such a way that when it is performed by small societies they could give it with a small orchestra using in the wind only one part instead of two - one flute one oboe etc., etc. Of course it would generally be given with full orchestra but it is a great convenience to smaller societies if they can perform a work with a small number of wind instruments and still produce a good effect. Of course it is understood that all these works are to become our property in all countries. With kindest regards to you + Madame Dvořák. I am Yours very sincerely Alfred H Littleton
