Text in original language:
My dear Mr Dvořák You are again in England, and I cannot shake your hand! Wie shade ist es! I have to stay here for a concert and cannot go to London to hear your new symphony. I hope it will have großen Erfolg! Some day I may be so fortunate as to hear it. I hope, my friend, you are quite well, and that you left Madame Dvoŕák and your family in good health. I am writing to you on Shakespeare’s birthday. Do you remember your visit to Stratford? There was a memorial performance in the Theatre there a day or two ago, but I did not see it. You will be very busy with rehearsals and with visits, so I will not keep you longer over my letter - only to assure of the affectionate remembrance of your friend. Stephen S. Stratton
