Dear Dr. Dvořák,
Will you not kindly examine closely the opera Daphne before Friday, and write me what you think of it - the music - as I have to give some matter regarding it to the press. The libretto (the text) was awarded a prize of $500 which I paid some two years ago.
I have been ill since Thursday but hope to be at the school soon.
