Description:
Postcard with printed photographs of Antonín Dvořák’s funeral cortège – floral tributes. Two pictures arranged at an angle, top edges tilted outwards, in the centre the bottom right corner of the left photograph overlaps the bottom left corner of the right one. On the right hand shot, a huge wreath in the shape of a lyre, next to which members of the Sokol carry the broad ends of ribbons fixed to the strings of the lyre. Behind the lyre, ahead of further floral tributes, a standard with the inscription “Opera”. On the left hand shot, this standard is in the foreground, behind it another wreath with a lyre and palm top, followed by standards with the titles of operas: “Král a uhlíř”, “Dimitrij”, “Jakobín” and “Vanda”.
On the obverse, at the bottom, printed (in Czech): “From the funeral of Dr Antonín Dvořák. Floral tributes.”
