Description:
A photographic reproduction of a head-and-shoulders portrait of Antonín Dvořák. Full beard, hair combed back. Dark suit with dark waistcoat and a broad lighter-coloured silk stock tie with pin, white shirt with stand-up collar, vignette.
Handwritten annotations:
On the obverse, a dedication from A. Dvořák to P. I. Tchaikovsky (in Czech): “To my unforgettable friend Petr Ili. Tchaikovsky. Antonín Dvořák Prague 21 ? 1888.” On the reverse, in pencil (in Czech): “gift from Mr Janouš”.
