Dopis
Sunday night Dear Dr. Dvořák I am just back from Boston whither I work for a purpose which tomorrow’s Tribune will make plain to you. My wife sends me word to the office that a lady living in our house, two floors below us has been taken ill with the scarlet fever. It is a contagious and dangerous disease especially for children and I do not think you ought to call for your scores today. I will send them by a messenger from down town or leave them at the conservatory myself. If Mr. Paur intends to play your symphony in Washington to Philadelphia (which he ought to be glad to do) he ought first to get from you metronome marks for all the changes of time. If you have any delicacy about sending them and will give them to me I will see that they are put in his hands without compromising you or hurting his feelings. It is necessary. Very respectfully H.E.Krehbiel
