My dear Friend
I have written to Mr. Knittel as you advise.
I think we can get the vocal score and the parts ready to in time for your performance in Prague in November if they do not require very many rehearsals. Previously of course we have had to get the English copies done first, but these are now completed.
I am told that the German translation is not very good and appears not to have been done by a German: I am having this looked over + corrected by a German and this will of course take some time.
My attention was called to this matter by some notices of the ‘Spectres Bride’ in German papers in which they said the German was not at all good.
Have you thought any more on the subject of your work for Birmingham. I have today another letter from the committee asking about this: please let me know what I shall tell them.
Mr. Tours is sending you today proofs of “Ludmila” parts 2 + 3.
With kindest regards + hoping to see you soon (I suppose you will arrive here about Oct[ober] 1)
Yours most sincerely
Alfred H Littleton
