Dear friend Arnold,
You have your wish as you can see by the above I am in London, but it is London [Oak?] where youre[!]1 dated Liepzig May ? 1st has been forwarded to me. Have been [lowering?] the Northwest on business + calculate going to Toronto Montreal Quebec Ottawa St. John [Truron?] [Halfat?] + Boston before I again reach New York & weeks hence. Your request has [met?] I regret to say at a very inopportune time as I am practically strapped myself. Funds are low + no [?] sir sight [?] I reach St. Johns so you see olf man how I am fixed I return your note which you offered so kindly as security. [?] trust we will both meet in the great N. Y.
Write to me soon again + I will respond at length as it is now I have a train to catch + must bring this to a hasty close.
