Dear Dr. Dvořák,
Upon inquiry, I am told that you had better make application direct to Hamburg - as all communications would have to be sent from this side to that city in any case - and you have a better choice of staterooms.
When you return, I will have the copyright question thoroughly solved so that we can have the benefit of “The American Flag” etc. and your rights at the same time protected.
In September I am to see Miss Longfellow just as soon as it gets cooler.
I mail you with this letter an Illustrated American in which you will see an article upon work here.
