Description:
A photographic reproduction by Štenc's graphical works in Prague I. The original photograph comes from Robert White Thrupp’s photographic studio in Birmingham and shows a half-figure portrait of Antonín Dvořák in a dark suit with a waistcoat. The long jacket is made of velvet. White shirt, dark neckerchief with find dots in place of a tie. A folding pince-nez is worn around the neck and a pocket watch fastened to the waistcoat by a chain. Hair combed back, full beard.
Handwritten annotations:
On the reverse, in pencil, a modern inscription: “Birmingham 1885 | Robert W. Thrupp in London”.
