Description:
Photographic reproduction. The members of the “Dvořák Trio” – a group created for the goodbye tour that took place ahead of Dvořák’s departure for New York in 1892 – in a studio with two decorated bamboo chairs. Ferdinand Lachner sits on the left, Antonín Dvořák stands in the centre with a cigar in his hand, and Hanuš Wihan sits on the right. All wearing fairly dark suits and hats.

This is a photographic reproduction produced in the mid-20th century by photographer Bedřich Renner, who specialised in reprographic photography and often worked for the National Museum (Prague) and other cultural institutions. The original photograph was taken by painter and photographer Josef Ladislav Šichan, in his home studio at 9 Stromořadní ulice, Brno.
